Step-by-Step Summary

  1. Clean & Tape: Clean rim bed thoroughly. Apply rim tape under high tension, overlapping valve hole by 10cm. Poke valve hole.
  2. Install Valve: Insert tubeless valve and tighten nut finger-tight (use O-ring if provided).
  3. Mount Tire: Mount the tire. The first bead is easy. The second bead might be tight—finish at the valve.
  4. Dry Seat (Optional): Try to snap the beads into place with a pump WITHOUT sealant first to check fit.
  5. Add Sealant: Remove valve core. Inject sealant through the stem (or pour heavily into tire before final bead pop).
  6. Inflate: Pump vigorously to "snap" the beads into the rim shelf. You will hear loud pops.
  7. Shake & Ride: Spin the wheel and shake it to coat the inside. Go for a short ride immediately to seal micropores.

[!TIP] Removing the valve core allows mostly-unrestricted airflow from your pump, making "seating" the tire much easier.
